Hi, I’m Nathan Landry! A mechanical engineer with the federal government by day and a personal finance nerd basically all the time.

I’ve been budgeting since I got my first job at 15 and started using YNAB to track my income and expenses. I realized I genuinely enjoyed tracking where my money was going and figuring out what might happen next. After college, when I started making “real money,” that interest took off. I started learning about investing and FIRE, and it clicked: if I ever wanted true financial independence and a comfortable future, I couldn’t just save. I had to grow it.

Since then, I’ve been on a mission to understand money better and help others do the same. Not only on the personal finance level, but also on the government and worldwide economic level. I’ve house hacked my way to five rental properties, dipped into Bitcoin, and read just about every personal finance book I could get my hands on. A few that really shaped my thinking: The Simple Path to Wealth by JL Collins, The Bitcoin Standard by Saifedean Ammous, and The Millionaire Real Estate Investor by Jay Papasan. I also follow folks like Whiteboard Finance and Financial Samurai who keep things both real and smart.

I’m not here to sell you dreams or shame your coffee habit. I just want to help make money make sense and maybe even fun, so you can build a life that actually works for you.

Me, attacking your personal finance questions with ferocity.
